She studied Multimedia Art at Brera Academy in Milan (2006) and Photography at IED, Istituto Europeo di Design, Rome, she has a diploma in photo editing and iconographic research at Bauer in Milan and in video editing at Vigorelli, in Milan.

In 2013 obtained a MA in Lighting Design and Led Technology at Politecnico in Milan. She has been participated in 3 exhibitions at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Turin (Tell me why, GE/06, GE/09) in 2006 the photographic work I nove miliardi di nomi di Dio entered in the collection. The Foundation granted on 2009 the work Phoenix, a research about the death of the palm trees in the Mediterranean landscape.

In 2007 she has been shown at Tina-b, Prague. For both 2008 and 2009 she exposed at two editions of Festival Internazionale di Fotografia in Rome. In 2008 Babel, a video about the communication obstacle, has been selected for Premio Cairo, Milan. The same video was included in others video art festivals, like undo.net (link: http://undo.net/) Silences, selected by Giovanni Viceconte, Flash Art online.

She also had a solo show Eat me slowly, a photographic project and an art book at Duet Art gallery (VA).

In 2010 she has been selected for the Artist in residence at A.C.A. Atlantic Center for the Arts, in Florida with the Master artist Jean Marc Bustamante.

In the same year she has been selected for Photovernissage, Central Exhibition Hall Manege, Real, Russian Union of photoartist, in St. Petersburg.

She won the INTERSECTION PRIZE a solo show at KunstArt, in Bozen and she was finalist of CELESTE PRIZE, exposed in Fondazione Brodbeck. She was invited at “The Cutting Edge” Artist in residence, in Transylvania and then shows that works at Art Museum in Cluj and in Greece.

She worked on the video Spanish moss collaborating with the composer Ashley Fu-Tsun Wang and then they exposed it at New Music Festival, Hong Kong e al Yong Siew Toh Conservatory, Singapore.

She has been participating at Controforma exhibition in Daegu, Korea and in 2013, at Galleria Artopia, for the exhibition -Rotta di collisione- curated by Gaia Tedone.

On the 2014 exposed at Palazzo Ziino (Palermo) for the show Domina 23 and in 2015 she is one of the young Italian artists selected by Marie Claire for the show and magazine “Art & Love”.

In the same year she is invited in Capri for the exhibition, “Capri the Island of art” where shows Blue Imaginary, light installation.

Alice Grassi si diploma in fotografia allo IED di Roma nel 2001, successivamente in ripresa e montaggio presso C.F.P. Vigorelli nel 2004 e si laurea in Comunicazione Visiva all'Accademia Multimediale di Belle Arti di Brera nel 2006. Nel 2011 si diploma in photo editing e ricerca iconografica presso il C.F.P Bauer a Milano e nel 2013 consegue il master in Lighting Design and LED technology al Politecnico di Milano.

Ha partecipato alle tre mostre collettive: Tell me why, GE/06, GE/09, presso la Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo a Torino, che ha acquisito uno dei lavori in mostra e finanziato nel 2009 il progetto fotografico Phoenix in occasione dei 10 anni di GE/09: Da Guarene all’Etna.

Nel 2007 partecipa al Festival d’Arte Contemporanea Tina-b a Praga e nel 2008 e 2009 a due edizioni del festival internazionale di Fotografia di Roma. Nel 2008 è selezionata tra i venti finalisti del Premio Cairo con il video Babel. Sempre nel 2008 presenta un progetto site specific per la mostra personale Eat me slowly presso la Duet gallery di Varese. Nel 2010 viene selezionata per l'Artist in residence presso A.C.A. Atlantic Centre for the Arts, Florida, con il Master artist Jean Marc Bustamante.

Sempre nel 2010 partecipa alla mostra PhotoVernissage a San Pietroburgo ed è selezionata tra i finalisti del Premio Celeste in mostra alla Fondazione Brodbeck. E’ invitata all’artist in residence: The cutting edge in Transilvania, in mostra al Art Museum di Cluj Napoca e in Grecia e vince il Premio Intersection per KunstArt. Nel 2011 espone al New Music Festival, Hong Kong e al Yong Siew Toh Conservatory a Singapore collaborando con la compositrice Ashley Fu-Tsun Wang. Nel 2012 partecipa alla mostra Controforma, a Daegu Korea. e alla mostra Rotta di collisione curata da Gaia Tedone presso Artopia Gallery di Milano. Nel 2014 espone presso Palazzo Ziino alla mostra Domina 23 e nel 2015 è inserita tra la selezione di 20 artiste italiane “Art & Love” di Marie Claire; riceve la menzione speciale dalla giuria del PREMIO COMBAT per la sezione fotografia. E’ invitata alla mostra “Capri the Island of art” con il lavoro Blue Imaginary. E’ artista in residenza a Bruxelles presso Artecontemporanea e nel 2016 lavora con Asterisma e Non Riservato per l’installazione luminosa Borderlight presentata al Ponte delle Gabelle per il Fuori Salone, Brera district, Milano.
